Ford 2.3 / 2.5L SOHC

Valve Cover Zipper Kit

Remove Valve cover.

Clean off valve cover gasket surface on head.

Use blue Loctite on the threads going into the head.

Install studs using a 3mm allen wrench.

Run them down till they bottom in the hole.

Wipe off any excess Loctite.

Torque to approx 7-8 Lb/Ft

Valve cover installation;

W/ Rubber gasket;

Clean valve cover gasket surface.

Install gasket and valve cover.

Install nuts and torque to 4 - 6 Lb/Ft

W/ Cork gasket;

Clean valve cover gasket surface.

Install gasket onto valve cover

Install valve cover.

Install nuts and torque to 4 - 6 Lb/Ft.
