| Oil Pan Zipper Kit (E) |
|
|
| Ø Remove oil
pan. |
|
| Ø Clean off oil
pan gasket surface on block. |
|
| Ø Locate a blind
pan bolt hole. * |
|
| Ø Use blue
Loctite on the threads going into the block. |
|
| Ø Install a stud
using a 3mm allen wrench. |
|
| Ø Run it down
till it bottoms in the hole. |
|
| Ø Use this to
set the depth of the other studs. |
|
| Ø Install other
studs with blue Loctite. |
|
| Ø Install 4
studs near crankshaft w/ 4mm allen wrench. |
|
| Ø Wipe off any
excess Loctite. |
|
|
|
|
| Oil Pan installation; |
| Cork
/ Rubber gasket; |
|
| Ø Clean oil pan
gasket surface. |
|
|
| Ø Install gasket
and oil pan. |
|
| Ø Install nuts
(NO Loctite) and torque to 4 - 6 Lb/Ft |
|
| Ø
Torque the 4
larger nuts to 8-10 Lb/Ft |
|
|
|
| Cork gasket; |
|
| Ø Clean oil pan
gasket surface. |
|
|
| Ø Install gasket
onto block. |
|
| Ø Install oil
pan. |
|
| Ø Install nuts
(NO Loctite) and torque to 4 - 6 Lb/Ft |
|
|
|
| * Note; Some bolt holes are not drilled and tapped all the way
thru. |
|
